Historic Repair and Small Restorations

I most enjoy working with all-but-lost craft pertaining to historic or old houses and antique furniture. I resist the planned obsolescence that is today's building standard. If you have an old home with original windows, doors, and woodwork, allow me to get them functioning like new again and looking spectactular. Don't let anyone convince you that you have to "update" or "modernize" your home by ridding it of its unique character and high quality materials. Nothing that is manufactured today comes anywhere close to to the quality of that which was crafted 80 or 100 years ago or more. Let me prove to you that there is essentially no such thing as "beyond repair" when it comes to your old windows, doors, woodwork, and even furniture.

Why Old-Growth Wood Is Better

Painting

I'm a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to painting. I can promise you sharp, straight lines and full, even coats.

Minor Plumbing/Electrical

I am not a licensed plumber or electrician but I have much experience with both, and many plumbing and electrical jobs do not require you to pay plumber and electrician prices. I can repair or replace your broken or leaking pipes, valves, faucets, ect. I can install / replace outlets, switches, fixtures, and much more.

Feel free to give me a call and tell me your situation, and I will always responsibly advise you whether or not you need to call a plumber / electrician, depending on the scale of the job and with safety as priority.

Property Maintenance

Need help getting your home, vacation, or rental property ready for winter? Need to prepare for new tenants moving in? I have much experience with these situations.

General Help/Handywork

I'm an all-around handy guy, so whatever you need, let me know! I fix things. I pick things up and put them down. No matter how odd the job, just ask, I'm sure I can help.

About Me

My name is Zach Wilson, I am 28 years old, born and raised in South County, RI. I have been doing this kind of work for about 7 years now, and have always enjoyed working with my hands, fixing things, and helping people in general.
Starting at a young age I learned many skills from my father, who was a contractor for many years, and even more through experience and figuring things out on my own. I have no fear of being presented with a tricky situation or a task I haven't done before, as I have a knack for figuring things out, and such situations add to my experience. However, if I have any reason to believe a particular task is so above my skillset that I can't complete it flawlessly and safely, I will always be upfront and honest about it.
I have lots of regular clients whom I have helped with various projects, repairs, and property maintenance for years now, and all are more than happy with my work. I am very well equipped with quality tools and experienced at using them.

I have always had a special appreciation for the artful character and quality of old homes, as well as antique furniture, ever since I was a child. In recent years that has evolved into a passion, and currently my specialty is shifting in that direction. I wanted to learn how to do the things that so many people either don't consider can be done anymore or simply don't bother, so i did. Today, everything is manufactured to be disposable, so it's important to me to help fix and save things from a better time which were made to last. Since mastering wood window glazing and restoration, I've become more skilled at woodwork, which allows me to specialize in services that i am really passionate about.

I pride myself on being respectful, trusted, honest, and reasonable. I genuinely enjoy helping people, and it is extremely important to me that clients are 100% satisfied with my work.

Wood Window Repair/Restoration

I am very passionate about window work. If you're lucky enough to still have wood sash windows in your home, don't let the window replacement companies convince you to get rid of them and install disposable vinyl windows.
